"WIRING THE BRAIN FOR CONNECTION"
Part ONE of the Creating Conscious Connection Workshop Series

Understand how your brain is wired for self-protection, and how shifting your perception can bring you into deeper connection with others
April 12th
1pm - 3pm
$30 per person
Synergy Yoga and Wellness
32 BAY SPRING AVE, BARRINGTON, RI 02806
Evolution did a great job of helping us to survive through the ages, but it also wired us for self-protection above all else—even at the cost of connection with others.
So often in our relationships, we find ourselves feeling stuck in disconnecting patterns of relating, believing that if others would only change, we’d find real connection. As we keep hitting those familiar pain points over and over again, our beliefs about others harden and we begin to accept a lack of meaningful connection and our loneliness only grows. What if it didn't have to be that way? What if something as simple (and as hard) as shifting your perception could ignite sparks of connection around you?
This workshop will explain:
-
How our perception of threat can keep our relationships stuck in survival mode
-
How our unconscious negativity bias can lead us to ignore the humanity of our partners and ourselves
-
How bad we really are at mind reading
Most importantly, you will learn how to:
-
Lower your perceived feelings of threat
-
Communicate in a way that is connecting
-
Activate your curiosity to gain meaningful insights into your relationship
All of which will help move you out of “relationship survival mode” and into a place of exploration and deep connection.
